Int’l filmmakers attend Iran fest

Several national and international filmmakers have participated at the 30th edition of the International Film Festival for Children and Youth in Isfahan.

ifilm had an exclusive interview with the international directors who have come to Iran for the event.

“I’m very happy to be here and I’m on the jury for narrative feature films and the narrative short films,” said Aman Ballentine from New Zealand talking to an ifilm reporter.

She added that the level of the films is generally high and she’s only seen one Iranian film and she loved it.

A German producer also told ifilm that the movies she has seen was very interesting to her and it was amazing to see the Iranian children filmmaking.

The International Film Festival for Children and Young Adults is organized annually by the Farabi Cinema Foundation in affiliation with the Iranian Organization of Cinema and Audiovisual Affairs.

The event celebrates films made for children and youth. It also supports emerging filmmakers with innovative cinematic visions and ideas as well as serves as a platform for professionals to come together and exchange ideas.

The 30th edition of the International Film Festival for Children and Youth is underway in the city of Isfahan.
